I frequently change my Linux server passwords but forget the Linux command to reset the password so I thought I’d post these instructions for myself and anyone else who may be interested in changing their Linux server password’.

Reset Linux Password Instructions:

Login to the server.
Type ‘passwd’ (followed by the enter key).
Type the new password.
Confirm the new password.
